Actually neither of you are correct;)
I didnt specify in a single season which I guess you guys were assuming I was looking for.....
"which pitcher has started more games that his team has won overall?"
That is total, like in history or career.....

How was it bad wording?? I never specified a single season??
If anything, maybe I should have specified in a career.....The way I wrote the question, I understood it to be for a career....
Not bad wording but rather not enough wording;)

Since there have ben no more guesses I will provide the answer...
Don Sutton's teams won 418 of the 756 games he started between 1966 and 1988:)

Ok James, go easy on an old stupid guy like me, but I'm really confused about this question ... Not the "overall" part, but how is , Don Sutton's teams won 418 of the 756 games he started between 1966 and 1988" the answer?
From 1966-88, Sutton started 756 games...I was thinking then the answer would mean the teams he played for won only 755 games or less during that span of time, that way he would have started more games than his teams won.
But I know that's not the case ... From 1966-88, Sutton's teams won well in excess of 755 games.
So where am I missing the question?

That is pretty much how I stated the original question...Did me using the word "overall" create the confusion??
Sorry about that....
He satrted 756 games...Out of those 756 games he started his team ended up winning 418 of them....He obviously did not win them all as he had 324 wins himself, but the team end up winning...
I have no idea if that make anymore sense:umm
