Although team owner Jerry McMorris will remain the team's chief executive officer on the Rockies' board of directors, he stepped aside as president Thursday.
Keli McGregor, who had been the Rockies' executive vice president of business operations was named the new president.
A former All-American tight end at Colorado State and fourth-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos, McGregor will be heading the day-to-day operations of both the Rockies' baseball and business operations.
