Carl Crawford jacks a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 outs to beat the Sox 6-4:eek:

I like the Rays and all but I have Pedro going in one of my leagues.....Damn bullpen gives up 5 fricken runs in the 9th:angry:

I may need to go to tomorrow nights game and provide a little good karma for the Sox.....I'll wear the Williams jersey and fitted Sox cap:D

Yeah, it sucks and there was no reason the Sox should have lost that game but it's only game one out of 162. Absolutely no need to give up yet.

Just look on the bright side -- at least none of our star players were injured; unlike the Yankees. Jeter separated his shoulder in the third inning today and will most likely be out for quite some time.

No need to give up, thats for sure but 1. as has been mentioned, it was vs the Rays who are a horrible hitting team...2. A great start by Pedro was wasted....3.They blew a 4 run lead in the 8th vs that crappy hitting team......

That loss even though it was game #1 was unexceptable:banghead

You have to beat the teams like the D-Rays especially when your ace starts and you have a 4 run lead going into the 8th.....

No one is giving up. We are simply rightfully pissed off. How could you NOT be pissed after that atrocity last night? You like to start the season off on the right foot. PISSING AWAY a 4-1 lead in the 9th to arguably the WORST team in the league is no way to begin the season. If you paid close attention to the Sox forum, you'd see how excited we have been about the season and how much we were looking forward to Opening Day. Then the day comes and we are treated to this horrific implosion.

The only positive is that Pedro pitched a gem. I didn't get to see the game because ESPN showed women's college basketball, and ESPN2 showed ESPNews instead. WTF???

Our $40 million man sucked and was booed off the field. Welcome to NY Tom! :hmm:
