I thought that Mark Hendrickson might have pitched against Houston this spring, but could not find any evidence to backup my notion ... He's a big sucker, listed at 6-09 and 230 lbs on their roster ... Don't know a lot about him, but he does have some impressive athletic credentials,
Dude was drafted 6 times by MLB teams:
1992: 12th round by ATL when he finished High School
1993: 21st round by the Padres
1994: 32nd round by ATL again
1995: 16th round by the Tigers
1996: 19th round by the Rangers
1997: 20th round by the Blue Jays, finally signed
Played baseball and basketball at Washington State, a 2-time All PAC-10 player in basketball.
Played in the NBA for the 76ers in the 1996-97 season ... Injured his back and finally gave up roundball after some short stints in the CBA and with the Nets (1998-99) and the Cavaliers (1999-2000)
Went 7-5 with a 3.52 ERA in 14 starts and five relief appearances at Triple-A Syracuse in 2002 before he was called up to the Jays, making his MLB debut last August 8th when he joined Danny Ainge, Gene Conley (also from Wash State), Dave DeBusschere, Dick Grat, Frankie Baumholtz, Cotton Nash, Ron Reed, Chuck Connors and Steve Hamilton as the only players to perform in both the NBA and MLB ... Had some impressive numbers in 16 games (4 starts) for Toronto in 2002: 3-0, 2.45, only allowed 25 hits and 1 HR in 36 IP.
Can't find anything about how hard he throws or what his best pitches are ... One thing to keep in mind: He only started deviting himself to baseball in the last 3 years, so while he's a bit older than most MLB rookies (29 this June), he could really get better in the coming season or two.

Crap.:( Now I'm really worried.
Thanx for info Pops!
Well Jacqui, reni over at the Jays forum told me that he thought Hendrickson was a quality pitcher, and he's probably right. However, he tossed 1 2/3 against the Yanks just under a week ago, and gave up 7 earned runs on 10 hits. I still fancy the Sox to take this one, provided the lead is big enough going into the pen.:hmm:

I agree with Baboon on this one, Lowe will pitch well ... I didn't draft him for my fantasy team to stink the place up.
As for the pen, I'm going with Howry to pick up the save this evening ... No, wait! It won't even be a save op for him, but he pitches the 9th to close out the win, 8-3 Boston.

Zero chance. Sports radio gets it first, it's usually about 4ish.

Well, I probably don't want to know anyway.
Good TV night. UConn women on ESPN, going for that championship. NHL playoffs on ESPN2. Red Sox on NESN.
