My husband said this a few minutes ago.:D So, I'm gonna let you guys vote. I have officially given up all hope of this team contending this year, so pick an option as to what I should do.

1)Vent away as normal.

2)Put on a fake rah rah face and pretend this team is worth a shit.

3)Have no opinion, just post stats and such.

Decide. But since you haven't yet, I get one last vent. F you Theo, you stupid :ass:. Thanx for destroying this franchise with your stupid philosophies.

Jacqui, this place wouldn't be the same if you didn't vent!

Vent away my dear, vent away

It happened last night Ray. I realized in all seriousness, that this is just a lousy team. I went thru a wide range of anger at the joke of a team Theo put together, and I'm now at peace.

Once you let go, it's better.

Okay, one vote for vent.

I'm not a front runner Ray. Don't get me wrong, I like the Cubs, but I DETEST people who start rooting for winning teams.

I hate the Sox right now. I really do. There are only 2 likeable guys on the whole team. But, they're my team. I sink with the ship.

RANT. The Sox deserve it. F*ckers.

I can't belive how BAD our pitching staff is. I mean, I knew we were not the BEST in the league, but god damn, we are getting HAMMERED. HAMMERED. It does not matter who we throw out there, we're going to lose because none of our pitching staff can get a man out.

The Red Sox should trade Pedro. They don't deserve him, and Pedro does not deserve to rot on such a shit team.

I would vote for a combination of #1 and #3, vent while posting stats and stuff ... Your wit and wisdom, which often surfaces in your venting, would be sorely missed around this joint, Princess.

But people, people, people! It's the first effing week! (My first time to use the term "effing" at Addicts, I believe) ... There is something to be said for telling the truth (i.e., Princess saying this team sucks right now) and for still maintaining a positive outlook ... Ok, maybe this team blows big ones, maybe they're gonna' lose 85 games instead of win 85, maybe Theo really does possess the brainpower of a doorknob or a hammer.

But, just imagine, if you will, that they begin to turn things around in the next week or so ... How will you feel then for jumping on the "We Suck Express" right out of the gate? ... I'll tell you how you'll feel, you'll feel about as worthless as the thing that sits on the top of Grady Little's & Jimy Williams' shoulders ... Nothing but a hat rack, and not even a good lookin' one of those.

So don't be a Jimy or Grady Hat Rack! ... Be a venting, stat postin', tell it like it is member of Sox Nation ... Positive Waves, Moriarity, Positive Waves.
:Peace:

yes our pitcing staff is struggling, but the problem is still our bullpen. Pedro has pitched 2 good starts. Burkett didn't pitch that great in his outing, but he did limit the other team to one run. Wakefield has been up and down which will probably be the case all season since hes a knuckle ball pitcher. Lowe couldn't be expected to produce like last year, but I still have hope he'll be fine. Although like someone commented on before. The reason he struggle the year afer his dominating closing year was because e lost his confidence in April. Hopefully that doesn't happen. And Fossum has shown signs of brillience which make me think he'll be fine. He piched great against a very good young bluejays offense last night for 4 2/3 IP. He's probably just not quite ready for the season. Last year was the first year he had ever really been a starter which is why there are questions about wheher he can ever throw 200 IP. The area that does need to be worried about is the bullpen. Its one thing when they suck for the first 3 games because itis only the first 3 games, but this is ridiculous. Mendoza has a big contract for a reason. He should be able to come in as a ground ball pitcher and get one out if they are in a jam, not giveup a one pitch grand slam....

You can't not rant, it'd be unnatural. Plus, the more you rant and say how the bad the team is, you will either 1) be proven right, which is always a nice feeling or 2) be pleasantly surprised, which is nice as well.
