...... and any other Cubs' fan.....
I'm just curious. As I'm seeing them so far into this season, I'm seeing an improved club. Of course, I've never really paid that much attention before, but everytime I look at a score for the Cubs, it seems like they're doing really well.
Is this true? Do you see an improvement over previous years? And to what do you attribute it, if you do?
Inquiring minds want to know.

they are better USUALLY....there are still some times they look like last years team AKA Monday night...
I would atribute a lot of the sucess to Grudzy and Alex Gonzalez getting on base... without them on we dont get the runs... and who woulda thought of them two as leadoff and 2nd in the batting order:eek: ... nice move there by Dusty... who has also helpped.. just the confidence he brings to the job.. the desire to win and the ability to.. if the pitching holds up (and its been pretty good this year)..the bullpen stands steady (unlike Monday night)... and the hitters keep clicking this team can make a run at the Division... i didnt think they would win the division this year but i think they could be right in the race for it:clap2:

i see signs of a much improved ball club. they still show some of those evil tendencies of previous years (see monday night) but then they have games like today and yesterday and opening day. Dusty has them playing hard and things are lookin up.
i dont know, things just seem more together this year.
I think Dusty is one big reason. he brings optimism to the team and knows which buttons to push. Plus their starting pitching has been improved for the most part.

I guess that's what I was mostly wondering about.... whether you think Dusty Baker has made that much of a difference.
I'm thinking he has, but I had never been that familiar with previous years.... only that Cubs fans always are looked on as "long-suffering". :D
