Parks Department To Sell Vintage Seats For $1,000 apiece

(AP) (NEW YORK) The city Parks Department says it plans to sell 1,000 vintage seats from Yankee Stadium for $1,000 apiece.
"They're apparently hot-ticket items," department spokeswoman Megan Sheekey told the New York Post in Monday editions.
The seats were removed from the stadium while it was undergoing renovations in the mid-1970's and are currently stored in shipping containers at an agency warehouse.
The Parks Department's plan is intended to help the city narrow its $3.8 billion budget deficit.
