I'm not sure if this is the right place for this to go but oh well I have a question.
What team does Roberto Alomar go into the hall with?

I think it depends how he ends his career...
If he were to say play the next 5 or 6 seasons with the Mets I think he should go in as a Met....
Right now I'd put him in as a Blue Jay.....

Honestly, there is no possible way I see him going in as a Met. He will be a Blue Jay. That's where he became the player he was and won the championship.

I would not say "No Possible Way"
What if he finished his career as a Met, and I know, its a big IF, anyways, he plays for say 5 more seasons....
That will have him playing 7 seasons as a Met...Longer than any other team he has played for.....You never know if the Mets will win a series or not but if he plays for 5 more years(including this year) he will only need to average about 100 hits to pass 3000....Getting his 3000th hit as a Met may help his cause....
Of course this is assuming he gets back to his old self....If he doesnt, he probably wont be a Met anyways....

The reason I say no possible way is because he is just a shadow of his former self. If he had the type of seasons he had in Cleveland and led the Mets to a string of pennants, then I could see it, but I really don't see that happening. Anyway, in 20 years I doubt I'll remember Robbie as a Met, I probably won't remember him as an Indian either since he only played here a few seasons, he'll be remembered as a Blue Jay, which is why he should be endhrined as one.

Oh I agree....If he is a shadow of his former self then yes, definitely a Jay.....
Of course me saying a Met is based on him being back to his old self....At 34 I cant believe that his skills have deteriated that much...I chalked up last season to a new league, team, etc....He has another bad one this year I will have to reconsider......

I've always liked Robbie, but with the way he's started this season, I don't see him putting up "Robbie" numbers anymore. Which is a shame. The few Met games I've seen, even his defense looks worse than when he played for Cleveland.

I say he goes in a Jay. That's where he played longest and best. It would be interesting to see how some others might put him in because his famed spitting incident. That might spark some minds as the team he was remembered as and he could easily fall in as a Padre (Or was it a different team) if they take that in account. I personnally think Blue Jay's though due to his tenure.
This is all if he gets in at all, since he has recently fallen. His defense is not gold glove worthy anymore and he forgot how to hit, or so it seems. If he rebounds with a very good year we could see him inducted. He would have to keep it up and prove his glove makes him worthy.
The WS rings from there also don't hurt. Yet if he can get the Mets to a WS he may be recognized there.

I agree with a few other people. On his current career path, he has to go as a Jay. His defense was spectacular at Toronto, and I can remember watching him at Spring Training when I was younger being amazed at what he could do just screwing around on the field. Over his terms with the Indians and the Mets he has shown some flashes, but does not have the same vacuum suction power that used to be Robbie Alomar.
Also dwindling has been his hitting. In Toronto he was, and correct me if I'm wrong, at least a .290 hitter. Over his past seasons with the Mets he has been struggling to reach that point. And I know, everyone says that he will turn it around. I've been hearing that for at least two years now, and I gotta say I'll believe it when I see it.
I hope he makes it to the hall, and I certinaly hope that he can put together a few more productive seasons to make this debate more controversial :P

I say definitely he will go in as a Blue Jay. That was the team he spent most of his best years with them and should then be inducted into the Hall of Fame because of those years meaning he is a Blue Jay (If anyone understood what I just said please let me know because that didn't come out right :D)
