Five Tossed in Devil Rays-Twins Game
MINNEAPOLIS -- Two players and three others were ejected after a stream of hit batters between the Minnesota Twins and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire was ejected in the first inning after arguing a call with plate umpire Gerry Davis.
Tampa Bay starter Seth McClung hit two Twins in the first two innings -- including Bobby Kielty on the first pitch following Torii Hunter's three-run homer, prompting the Twins' dugout to empty briefly.
Davis then warned both benches when McClung hit Tom Prince in the second.
Brad Radke hit Toby Hall with two outs in the sixth and was immediately ejected. Because of the warnings, Twins acting manager Scott Ullger was also ejected.
Tampa Bay's Nick Bierbrodt then threw behind Corey Koskie in the bottom of the sixth, leading to both his and manager Lou Piniella's ejections.
