Berkman 4 Giambi

I have been offered Lance Berkman & Rafael Soriano for Jason Giambi

My current 1B options are Helton, Giambi, Hatteburg. Helton the Starting 1st Baseman while either Jason or Scott start at Utility.
Jason is expendable but is Berkman/Soriano worth it? Rafael Soriano will be useful in the HOLDS department. Its a very large league so the free agent pool has been stripped clean.

What do you think???

i would do the trade. berkman cant remain in the slump forever, as tonight is witness as he looks to be awakening from his slumber. Helton will probably actually be better than Giambi anyways, so giambi is definitely expandable.

For this weeks lineup I added then dropped Eric Byrnes (genius move)

who do u plan on dropping for Soriano?

I would take it id u really need an outfielder, but u know that Giambi will come back around and put up near MVP type numbers. If not just for the reason that he has the protection in the lineup being on Yankees, then because he was a near MVP the last couple years.:freak:

definately take Berkman with that trade. I love Helton at first base (despite his pseudo slump) and I just traded for Berkman myself. He is huge tradebait for other teams who are less experienced b/c he will not slump that long with hitters around him like he has at Houston. He will rebound, and Giambi is expendable with Helton in your lineup.

I would drop SP Joe Kennedy TB. I don't ever start him because his era/whip is a killer.
