I don't expect you to beat the Nets, but make a series out of it okay? I'm going to Game 3 Friday, and it would be great if you were 1-1.

You can do it guys! Like Reggie Miller said to Pierce, you guys can do it, you have the weapons.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap2: :clap2:

I don't think i've ever heard any team in a 5 game series, cry, and complain, quit like the Celtics did last year.

And i wouldn't hand the '6ers the sereis just yet. The Pistons just got done beating another one man team, and the Magics one man, is a lot better than AI.

AI steps up HUGE in the playoffs. I think his supporting cast is far better than Orlando's.

I started to root for the Celtics as my East Coast team in 1986 (when I first started to get interesed in Basketball) after watching them in the playoffs on TV.

One game that comes to mind is the second last game in Houston. I was in a hotel room in Boston watching the game. There was a scrap between Ralph Sampson and Kevin McHale (if my memory serves me right) and Sampson was ejected from the game. On the way to the sheds he was caught on camera using the Sh** word. Next day I was strolling around Boston and came across a bakery which had a sign out front which said "our pastries are fresher than Sampson's mouth!" I certainly got a chuckle out of that.

Unfortunately the Celtics lost that game which brought them back home for the decider, however I had left Boston before the deciding game. I would love to have been part of the street parade next day had they won in Houston the earlier night.

I still rate the big Bird as my favourite basketballer.

Well, those of us dreaming of a Lakers v Celtics playoff need some divine intervention :help: . Seems that a fourpeet will not occur for the Lakers. Oh well, a changing of the guard is not a bad thing :sigh: .

Maybe it is the year of the Kings!! Sydney Kings won the Australian Championship so why not Sacramento :king:

I'm going Friday night. C's have never lost a playoff game I've attended.

Unfortunately P.Princess, your winning record has been destroyed and so has the 20 year period since the Celtics were swept in the playoffs. Not a great way to go out :ugh: :sigh:

The Lakers are still on the verge - can they be saved :umm
