For 3 years now actually 4 I have heard nothing but the Lakers wont win it this year. Sure they are down 2-1 but THESE are the lakers not the Bulls. Why cant ppl face the fact they are a great team. Sure they are playing a greast Spurs team but tgus us KA come on....

They arent as great of a team as they were last year, I mean Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen dominated them in games 1 and 2. I still think they can come back and win against the Spurs but the Spurs were the best team in the league in the regular season so if they win, it would convince me there is going to be a 4-peat.

Lal, I knew last year and the 2 years before that that the lakers were the team to beat. The difference between past years and this year is in past years all i had was hopes that the lakers wouldnt win. This year the lakers are the 4th seed. They are not the favorite this year, unlike in past years. No doubt they still have a chance, but the odds are against them. They are playing a team that they could not beat in the regular season, and they dont even have one of their key players this time around. I will not promise that they will not win it this year, but the road is a lot tougher that it has been in years past.

:umm I have no idea what you said right here...
Out of 7 games this year, SA has taken 6. LA is not looking like the LA of 2000, 2001, even 2002. SA, record wise, is the best team in the league and the team that plays LA the best. The odds are against them.
LA will win. They lost there first 2 road games and I am pretty sure that they will win their first 2 home games. I think LA will win their next road game. Lose at home, then win at San Antonio
la down by 16 and still won! com' n SA cant win and La doesnt even have fox

lakers arent really good on the road. if SA wins game 5, i think SA can close it out in 6.

did you see the game? The Spurs sucked big time whenever Duncan was taken out of the game because of foul trouble, which is why they blew the double-digit lead. In the final minute, they first have a horrible offensive possession, Duncan nearly lost the ball and Jackson ended up shooting a three that missed, so they're down by 2 i think, with 24.1 seconds left. Anyone and thier brother knows you have to FOUL in that situation, otherwise the Lakers can just run-out the clock. It took SA 10 seconds to foul someone (although it looked pretty obvious that Parker fouled Fisher but the refs didn't call it). Then, on the next SA possession, Parker throws a horrible, horrible inbound pass that is stolen by Bryant, end of game.
San Antonio made big mistakes down the stretch that probably cost them the game. LA stepped it up too, but i think SA threw this game away.
everything turned around after shaw made the buzzer three

No, everything turned around when Duncan was taken out of the game. That killed the Spurs.

How the hell is that an excuse? If you watched the game it was so blatently obvious. Duncan's the MVP for a reason, and when he got into foul trouble it hurt the Spurs.
It's a fact, not an excuse :hmm:

The difference between Duncan and Kobe is that when Kobe is in foul trouble they still have Shaq; when Duncan is in foul trouble, there's no one (unless Bowen or Parker or Ginobili steps up, but none of them are reliable stars like Shaq is)
