pp, please explain something to this old C's fan. Why is Danny Ainge getting a job with Boston, but Larry Bird isn't?

you know, i only saw a blurb of it on espn. was it really that big of a thing that went on out there in beantown?

the timing coulda been better, thats for sure.

Hi Trots. Bird tried to buy the Celtics a few years back, but Gaston wouldn't sell. Bird wants to own the C's, not manage. Now, Ainge has said he wants Bird on board, it is rumored that either the new C's owners will cut Bird in, or that he will work in the front office in some capacity.
