Has anyone ever heard of this? I am told it was one of the best "Behind The Scenes" shows on baseball. I don't know whether it was a movie or a TV series, but I'd love to know more about it.

I believe that was the series back around 1996 (not sure about the year, somewhere around there) that was about the St. Paul Saints. Basically, the show was following the team and the players through the Northern League season. Gave some idea of the daily life of minor league baseball players. Also, if I remember right, that was the year Darryl Strawberry and Jack Morris were on the team for a while.

I watched the series back when it came out, thought it was good. Since I haven't seen it since then I don't remember many details though.

As Paul said, Baseball, Minnesota was an excellent documentary on the minor/independent system, and very funny, too. Bill Murray (co-owner of the Saints) was a hoot in the series.

Neal Karlen, who worked with Rob Klug on the series, wrote about his time with the team (actually 2 years). This is one of the best baseball books I've read. Thanks for the info. I'll try to track it down (now that I think about it, the guy who told me about it said it was filmed during Strawberry's tenure there).
