That the Bucs may very well eat some of Meares and/or KY's salary, either in releasing them or as part of a trade? In reading John Peretto, ESPN.com, The Sporting News and Post Gazette there have been a lot of hints in that direction. Or maybe wishful thinking.

I think it is wishful thinking. This is the type of thing I'll believe when it happens. So many times stuff like that is reported and it never happens.

is that maclatch wouldnt let bonifay release them why would he do it now? i hope they see the light and do it though.

I don't think that any of the 3 will be cut during the season because of their contracts. I'm afraid that these 3 guys will be on the 40 man roster next year with the line being how their respective injuries are the reasons for their "off" years. Bucs' talent is so thin in upper minors that Kevin probably doesn't feel the need to cut them now.:confused:

i honestly do not believe that this was ever going to happen. I do not think that Cam was about to do it, nor do i think that kevin fired him because he was going to do it.

I see it as having been nothing more than Cam trying to defelct the blame away from himself and on to those around him.

If not an outright release, what about say, eating 75% of Meares contract in a trade with the Braves, ala Oakland eating most of Olivares contract?

if you include a ham sandwhich . seriously i think that is to resonable. they already have to eat bonifays contract i think they have had a fill of that for awhile.:barf:

i will try and do that in the yankees forum :D just the thought of kendall bell and vandy in the outfield made me want to puke even though it will probubly never happen its crazy this team has so many spare parts :).

:D just saying the thought of those three playing on one team and playing in the outfield would make me puke. and i did say it probubly wont happen so hows that say im taking drugs? :)
