John Van Beschoten was promoted to Altoona and was to have started last night. He was 6-0, 2.22 ERA. That's good news.

Van BenSchoten wasn't supposed to start last night ... he's supposed to start TOMORROW night, not last night.

Mike Connoly started last night, and I went to the game ... really not a heck of a lot to say when the Curve are one-hit (Castillo single in the seventh broke up the no-no) and lose 1-0 except for the SP. Connolly was very good, giving up 1 run in 7 1/3 with 5 hits and 1 walk and 4 K's ... but he escaped danger several times.

I'm going to tomorrow's game, btw. I'm excited to see VBS.

Well I was mostly right. ;-) I look forward to a first hand report Josh. I can't wait until the Curve make their annual appearance in New Britain.

Yeah, I'll file a first hand report ... no reason not to.

New Britain Rock Cats (what a crazy name ... what in the heck is a rock cat?) play the Curve June 9-11 ... you can look forward to seeing Burnett, VBS (won't bother trying to spell his name), Jacobsen, Castillo, Duffy, Bonifay, etc. ... it's arguably the most talent-laden team the Curve have had, right up there with Beimel, J. Wilson, Mackowiak, Hyzdu, Cota, Carrasco, and Anaheim pitcher Brendan Donnelly

How far are you from New Britain, Chris?

About 40 minutes. I try to catch half a dozen games each season. It's half way home from work so sometimes I just go right ot Bee Hive stadium and eat a ball park dog. I usually go to Norwich, about an hour or so away to see the Curve as well.
