Riggan Returns to Mets
ATLANTA -- Jerrod Riggan signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets, rejoining a team he pitched for in 2000 and 2001.
The Mets assigned the right-handed free agent to Triple-A Norfolk of the International League.
Riggan was outrighted by Cleveland on May 19 and declined a minor league assignment. He is 5-4 with a 5.19 ERA in 67 games with the Indians and Mets.
