Granted, Kerry Wood gave up one hit and fanned 10, but Fogg gave up just three hits and no runs. In the 7th he struck out Alou and Choi never throwing a pitch faster than 78 mph. And Lofton kept his streak alive. Sure am glad we get WGN. Fox Sports Pittsburgh always seems to black out the games.

FSP didn't black out today's game, I know that ... FSP broadcasted today's game.
Like you said, Fogg was very impressive. Probably one of the best performances by a pitcher all season ... surprised he didn't go out for the eighth, though.
Speaking of the eighth ... funny how a simple leadoff walk to the pitcher can start a HUGE inning.
Pretty darn good win for the Buccos today ... got to like beating Wood twice in a week's span.

Josh, the only reason that Fogg did not go back out in the 8th was because of the big inning. Sort of like the equivalent of a rain delay, that's how long it was. Really no need to send him back out in that situation cold.

I did not see where Josh was at, but I would think he would be under a pitch count after all that too. Granted he got stretched out in the minors, but it isnt the same.

I do believe that Fogg had thrown 84 pitches, which is a pretty good amount for his first start back. Mac had every intention of allowing Fogg to come back out in the 8th inning, otherwise he would not have allowed him to bat for himself leading off. Especially when you would think that he wanted to add to the one run lead. That is why I believe that it was only after the inning drug on for so long that the decision was made to pull him out.
Either way, an excellent showing by Fogg.

I get the pre-game show on Fox then the game itself is blacked out in my area. I have Dish Network, so maybe they black the games out so you buy the MLB package.

I have dish network as well. I live in the Pittsburgh area so the game was still on Fox here. I am sort of surprised you even got the pregame. Way back when I had Primestar a long time ago, I could get any game that was on. Now it seems they give you your local market games, Atlanta, Chicago and once in awhile I get a San Fran game on one of my Clifornia channels. All the others are blacked out with out the baseball package.

And how much extra is the MLB package? That's the rub. You pay for channels and they cherry pick the best programming so they can hose you some more.

McClendon said that it was only after the big inning did he intend to pull Fogg ... so there's no disputing that.
We'll be adding on to the house shortly ... thinking of getting DirecTV w/the football and baseball packages ... you guys think the baseball package, at least, is a good investment??
