Where is Penn State? :hmm: :D

I'd be happy if they don't have a losing record this coming year...

Penn State will finish above .500 because they have a light schedule and a very good defense .. the offense will struggle early, for sure.

BTW ... 5 B10 teams to 3 BE teams. Just had to point that out.

How did Iowa make it? They lost just about everyone, and really aren't that deep. And Ohio St. should be #1. They're return just about every player, except 2 key defencive players. But it's good to see the Big Ten got a little more respect than usual.

I love OU, but I agree that OSU should be #1. They return too many players from a national championship not to be the top team this year. In fact, I would think some of their players would be improved over last season.

The Sooners do have an NFL caliber defense, but their shaky QB situation and no clear cut favorite feature back make it hard for me to rank them above the Buckeyes.

I agree that Ohio State should be number one. I was a little surprised when I saw that...

Auburn sure seems like they are ranked awfully high to me...I really can't picture them being a top five team...

auburn will be a damn good team and could possibly be
undefeated goining into a rematch with tennessee for the SEC title
The cavs will win the acc this year
texas will beat ou, but lose to kstate and A&M, sending ou to the BIGXII title game where they beat the wildcats and a 1 loss ksu team again finds itself on the outside of the bsc looking in (thats what happens when u play 2 1AA teams in the same season)
itll be wisconsin in the BIG10, VT in the east and Udub out west.
this is finally the year fresno wins the WAC and marshall will be dethroned by central florida in the MAC. TCU will own conference USA and colorado state the mwc making the liberty bowl the best of the bunch this comming holliday season. and the mean green of north texas will make it 3 in a row in the sun belt

Not a bad summary there, Vols. 'cept I don't think Tennessee is going to be all that hot this year...

ok ok ok. so UT isnt the dominant team of the late 90s but everything will be just fine this season. tony brown was THE clutch reciever last season and is due for a breakout year. i said the same about stallworth before his junior year. but db mark jones was the star of the offense this spring after swichin sides of the line of scrimage. clausen is now a senior and with a ground game anyone but auburn would be envious of, everything will be fine.
georgia has an entirely new offessive line and all the off-field mental crap to deal with and plays at knoxville and florida just isnt stevie's gators anymore, they were lucky to not have 6 loses last year.
tennessee should lose in the plains in oct and maybe in south florida in nov but they will win the east and will get revenge for 2 crap games in the peach bowl ('01 sec title game against LSU and '02 peach bowl vs the terps). the VOLS will win the sec, with the miami game being a deciding factor weather or not they play in new orleans against...um, i dunno, lets say VT? OU? my crystal ball is getting cloudy.......
