CYCLONES SET TO KICK OFF 2003 SEASON AT WELCOME HOME DINNER

Fans Can Wine and Dine with 2003 Team and Brooklyn Legends

Brooklyn, NY, May 20th, 2003 - The Brooklyn Cyclones are kicking off their season with a Welcome Home Dinner at Gargiulo's Restaurant on Friday, June 13th. The dinner will raise money for local Brooklyn charities and the guests are a Cyclones fan's dream. Tim Teufel and the entire roster of players for the 2003 Brooklyn Cyclones will be in attendance and they will be joined by join former Brooklyn Dodgers, such as Ralph Branca, Johnny Podres, Joe Pignatano and Carl Erskine.

Proceeds from the dinner will go to the Kingsborough Community College Foundation Inc, Our Lady of Solace Church in Coney Island, and the Friends of Kaiser Park, a community organization dedicated to the improvement of one of Coney Island's most popular public parks.

"This will be the first time the 2003 team will get to meet the fans in Brooklyn and get a taste of how much baseball, and this team, means to this borough," said Steve Cohen, General Manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones. "We think this is a great way to bring the old and the new together, have some fun and raise money for community charities."
