Giles whacks a 3 run dinger and throws out a runner at the plate to squelch a Cards rally. Can anyone tell me why Wells was limited to just 5 IP? The bullpen made it interesting until the end.

Pretty good win yesterday ... as I said earlier, I wasn't expecting a win. Cards blew it, though ... probably should've won.

Pleasantly surprised that Kip threw so well, but I can't fault Mac for pulling Kip ... Kip really wasn't dominating, and the Cards lineup may have been due for a breakthrough against Kip.

Now, Kenny can claim his player of the month award and start another hitting streak.
