Good stuff at the PG regarding the Boston series

It appears the PG is running a daily feature on the 1903 World Series ... Shelly Anderson, who I find to be as colorful as a black and white painting, is writing the stories, and they're not too bad. Today's story is about why the Pirates owner at the time started the WS ... pretty good read, I thought.

At the HOF, they had a banner ofthe contract which was signed before the first game was played. Was pretty interesting to see. There was even a handwritten part to it which stipulated that neither team could use players which were not on their roster as of September 1st.
