WOOHOOO!!!!!

I know Willie is thinking sweep, if Redding can get them tonight. :D I'm thinking no way. Grover's worrying about putting Bubble Boy at 1st, thinking he may get injured, but he doesn't want to lose his bat, but I'm thinking they were doing fine without his bat and wait and use him if he's going to take JJ out. Tonight would be a good time for JJ to last long into the game. :D

And hi, Willie. :wavey2: I see you lurking there. :D

Orioles to face unknown Astros
Baltimore (28-27) at Houston (30-27), 8:05 p.m. ET
By Gary Washburn / MLB.com

The Orioles have struggled at home this season, especially in series finales. But Sunday they mounted a two-run rally in the eighth inning for an exciting 5-4 win over the Rangers, providing momentum for a six-game Interleague road trip.

Baltimore has never faced the Houston Astros and knows little about their ballclub. Left-hander Omar Daal is the most experienced Oriole against Houston, making 24 career appearances against the Astros.

Manager Mike Hargrove said he does not favor Interleague play, primarily because it robs American League teams of the designated hitter in NL parks. And that will be the case for the next six games, when Hargrove has to shuffle his lineup to get David Segui a chance to hit. Also, pitchers will be required to hit, and if this week's batting practice offers any indication, Hargrove is not looking forward to witnessing it first hand.

After the Orioles take on Houston to start their Interleague play, they head to St. Louis before a 10-game homestand with the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee and Toronto.

Players to watch: Segui is the Orioles' designated hitter but he will have to sit if he can't play defense in these next six games in National League parks. The Orioles have a quandary because they don't want to risk Segui getting injured by playing defense but also don't want to lose his bat.

Quotable: "If those guys are depending on the pitchers for big hits, then we're in trouble." -- Orioles right-hander Sidney Ponson on the pitchers hitting the next six days.
