The Charlotte NBA expansion franchise will unveil itsnew team name, colors and logo and host a basketball street festival for fans at Trade and Tryon Streets in Uptown Charlotte on June 11. The team name will be chosen from one of three finalists the franchise announced last month – Charlotte Bobcats, Charlotte Dragons, Charlotte Flight.
The NBA Charlotte naming process began nearly six months ago when the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission collected over 1,250 team name suggestions from Charlotte-area residents. After a series of local focus groups, the team, which will play its inaugural campaign in the 2004-2005 season,announced the finalists and welcomed fan feedback.

none of those names are really that good. Out of those I'd probably pick bobcats though. Dragons is kinda cheesy, and Flight just does nothing for me.

Flight? Sounds like something a WNBA team would be called. And Dragons are more of an NFL Europe type-name. Go with the Bobcats, it's really the only cats left in pro sports.
