I am trading away some of my depth in order to get better players for next year. Aaron Heilman is available and think hes worth a chance--- but I could use some more names that might play this year. Dontrell Willis was just picked up---
So I come to the best baseball forums to find help---
Thanx

I take it this is a keeper league?
If you're looking for a pitcher who could make some noise this year, I'd pick up either Rich Harden from Oakland or Jerome Williams from San Francisco over Heilman, Harden will surely be up with Oakland before September as the A's will want him eligible for the post season and Williams is already with the Giants with Kurt Ainsworth on the DL
That said, Ainsworth and another Giants pitcher Jesse Foppert are good names to pick up if available
Other names: Jeremy Affeldt KC, Jeremy Bonderman Det, Jake Peavy SD, Jeriome Robertson Hou, Brandon Webb Ari (coming off DL to start tomorrow), Kip Wells (still available in too many leagues)
hope that helps you

I just cut Affeldt, I know his promise and most these other guys are taken since they had the names going into this year. I think the problem with Bonderman is his team-- got to score to win.
If anyone knows some of the names that are doing better then projected and may get an earlier look.
Thanks for the names-- I will check a few I don't know about.

In addition to some of the name thrown out:
Seo from the Mets and Harang, the new #5 starter for the A's who I am very high on...
I picked him up in 4 of my leagues the other day...
Was scheduled to make his 1st start today but rained out.....
Seo has a great era and looked great vs the best hitting team in baseball last night....

yeah, I mentioned Harden earlier
Jeremy Guthrie was great at Stanford, but I haven't heard anything of him being brought up to Cleveland in the near future, might be a late season call up, but definately in the Indians 2004 plans
I thought Soriano was going to have a good year as he was close to winning the 5th starter's job in Seattle in spring training, he's spent the year at AAA, only 3 relief appearances in late April and early May with Seattle, he's pitched well at Tacoma, but the Mariners have been doing fine without him, he should be a September call up and could be in the M's bullpen for the playoffs
