Hello everyone ,

I'm curious as to the Texas Rangers situation. I have Hank Blalock on my team , I took a chance on him despite his woes last year . His upside seemed well worth it ... that and I needed a good 3rd base with hitting power . The way I see it , and have read lately .. it seems they are in DIRE need of pitching . They have HUGE bats atm , and the most expendable seem to be Blalock , Teixiera is in the wings ... and is a switch hitter , and Palmiero , age and possible contract issues . IF they deal Blalock .. WHO would you think gets him .. who is in the trade , and will Blalock be able to keep up his avg. and hrs ?

Blalock struggled as a rookie last year because early on he faced the best teams in baseball Oakland, Seattle, Anahiem. They proceded to make him look like a rookie. To his credit those teams also made A-Rod & Juan Gone look like rookies too. So Blalock was sent down and he appeared to be an overhyped underachiever.
This year Blalock faces a steady diet of righties while Texieria gets the lefties.
I don't know about the trade rumors but I'm sure he will succeed whereever he lands.

Mark is in a platoon situation, playing 1st and 3rd and DH. A little less playing time when visiting NL parks.
