Hey guys,

I'll be vacationing in the Outer Banks for a week or so .. I'll be back Monday the 16th; won't be online until late that afternoon or early evening.

Try not to trash the forum too much during my absence ... and hopefully I'll come back to a lengthy winning streak. ;)

Yeah Dan, it was awesome ... anxiously awaiting a return trip.

Ralph, where was your friend staying? We were in Duck on Bias Shores.

Gettin' the pictures developed on a CD ... as soon as I get them back, I'll post some.

Yeah, I'm about as familiar with those places as I can be, given a week's time period ... my dad's friend has a house in Corolla on the water.

BTW, forgot to mention that I took in a Norfolk Tides (AAA-Mets) vs. Louisville Bats (AAA-Reds) game .. Josias Manzanillo (Louisville pitcher and ex-Bucco) damn near started a brawl ... I guess three Bats players were hit, so in the seventh inning, Manzy threw one right past a Norfolk player ... the next pitch hit the Norfolk player in the head, and Manzy was tossed at once ... the Tides bench cleared, Manzy was bickering with them and the umpires, and the Bats bullpen cleared, but only went to CF (strangely, the Bats bench never cleared) .. got several pictures, including one of Manzy tipped his hat and bowed to the Tides fans as he walked off the field (Tides fans were on him) ... but I rushed it, so I really don't know how it turned out .. did get several pictures of the near-brawl, however.

PS: Mets fans must be a strange breed no matter where they're at. ;) Seemed like they were more into the between innings stuff, and between pitch stuff, than the actual game ... The Adams Family theme song was played several times, and IMMEDIATELY on the cue for clapping, I looked around and EVERYONE was clapping ... I just couldn't believe it. Happened several times. It was almost like it was recorded; something you'd see on the video screen or something. And they did the same thing for "If You're Happy and you Know It" ... honest to God, sometimes I wondered if they went for the game or to clap. Making noise seemed to take precedence over the game.
