John VBS last night

Didn't get a chance to go to the game, but he was very solid ... 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K.

ERA is under 3.00 now, I think.

That's great news. I'll be at the Altoona-new Britain games Monday and Wednesday evenings. Hope I get to see him pitch.

What a rotation the Bucs could have in 2005--Benson, Wells, Bullington, VBS and Burnett.

If the Curve don't have any offdays, VBS will be in line to pitch Wednesday. My guess is Tuesday's starter will be Connolly.

Basically, no matter who you see, you're going to see a good pitcher, and more importantly .. a good prospect. Landon Jacobsen, Mike Connolly, Sean Burnett, and John VBS are all doing well so far ... the other starter is a retread from Nashville.

I'm doubting Benson is with the Pirates in 2005.
