Men's Soccer Team beat New Zealand today 2-1. Prolly could have won by more...plus it we were without some of our better players today...
Last friendly before going off to the Confederation Cup in France...
Should be a great test for us, we're in a group with Brazil, Turkey, and Cameroon I believe....

Looks like a tough group even without Brazil sending it's "A" squad.

Way to go Galavision...pricks. I want to watch the games live!
Galavision apparently has scrapped plans to show U.S. games live.
(Saturday, June 14, 2003) -- Spanish-language Galavision has apparently cancelled its plans to broadcast live two of the United States' three first-round matches from the Confederations Cup in France.
Thursday's 1 p.m. (ET) Cup opener against Turkey in St. Etienne will be shown on a tape-delay basis at 7 p.m. (ET) rather than live, according to the U.S. Soccer Federation. The American's second Group B match against Brazil next Saturday will be shown live as planned on Spanish-language Telefutura at 3 p.m. (ET). However, the Monday, June 23, group finale against Cameroon will be aired on Galavision on a four-hour delay at 7 p.m. (ET).
It was not immediately clear how many other changes were made to the Confederations Cup broadcast schedule. All games from the eight-nation event were to be shown either live or on a delayed basis on Galavision or Telefutura with the June 29 championship game on Univision, the parent of the other two networks.
No one could be reached at the Univision office today. SoccerTimes will run a revised schedule when it is made available.
A pay-per-view broadcast of U.S. Cup games in English has not materialized.
Yeah, we're getting all those games live. If Brazil sent their full squad, you guys would be dead, but you've got a chance. i liked the look of you guys in the World Cup last year. And of course, 2 of your goalkeepers play with clubs in England, and they're both extremely good.

I'm kinda up in the air how I feel about these games...sometimes I think we could do well, sometimes I think that we might get our butts kicked.
Turkey isn't sending Sukur or Hasan Sas, I don't believe. That's good news right there to begin with. Rustu will be in goal for Turkey, though. He's good. Hopefully none of their prick fans will be in France throwing coins at players...I think this game is a toss-up for us.
Cameroon is sending like their entire good squad. I think they're trying to make up for how shatty they played in Korea last year...I'm kinda worried about this game.
And of course Brazil, sure only one of the three R's are gonna be there...but, I bet Brazil's entire B team could make it to the WC final. It sure will be nice not seeing Ronaldo or Rivaldo, though. :D However, I bet we still get our asses kicked.

I can't believe someone isn't showing these games live in the States. It seems like we have about 900 channels now, but still cannot watch what we want.
I'm not as well versed in soccer as some here, but I do agree with Dan. I am concerned about the US performance in France. I'm hoping for the best, especially since not every nation will be sending their very best, but I really do expect a letdown after their WC showing.

So, no Rustu in goal for the Turks. It was Omer. He didn't get tested very much...we looked like shat. 2-1 loss. Not a huge shocker. We need wins now. Brazil lost, so they'll prolly come out fired up now on Saturday. Great. :hmm:

2 Losses and a Draw...well, I guess that's better than we usually do in Europe...
