From what I hear, the wind blowing in helps his knuckler, wind blowing out hurts his knuckler. If the wind is on his back, it pushes the knuckleball faster, thus giving it less time to dance and making it easier to hit.

Gawd, that loss hurts. :( It amazing how great our offense is, yet we lose games like this. Not one, but TWO comebacks, and we still lose. So disheartening. :(

I just got to "watch" it on CBS.Sportsline.com, but I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was an exciting game, but I'm just so bummed that the Sox couldn't pull it out.

I'm going to try to be rational, and not dump all the blame on Nomah for not coming through in the clutch. Because he already HAD come through in the clutch, and it's not easy to do it time and time again. But it sure would have been nice!
