Ok , I have a trade tendered from another team .. seemingly it is horrid .. but for the fact that I'd like another quality SP . I'm frustrated with Burrell .. I have made no bones about it .. with the season half done I think it's time to cut the ties that bind and send him packin . He has been horrid . I'm one to believe that in order to take the top spot in ANYTHING .. you have to gamble a bit . SO here it is ..

He sends :
Jose Hernandez SS- Col
Woody Williams SP - StL

I send :
Aaron Boone 3B SS 2B - Cin
Pat Burrell LF - Phil

I love Aaron Boone .. he has been fairly solid in my line-up . Jose is NO Aaron Boone ... I realize that .. but Woody Williams is a good pitcher . For grins ... here is his roster .. maybe I can work a better trade ?

Pull the trigger
The Rockies think they have found the flaw in Jose's swing. Look for better numbers in the second half.
That guy can ill afford to lose W.Williams.

I'm with Fulla on this one. I usually do not support trading Offense to get pitching and there is value for value here but it appears you can address your issue of a need for a quality starting pitcher.

I really feel Burrel will eventually come around but I suspect more to the tune of Burnitz part two instead of the next Bonds.

I pulled the trigger on the trade .. I just hope the other managers don't veto it . I have another question for ya now . Miguel Batista just hit the waiver wire , is he a good addition for me ? Who would I drop if so ?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure I like that trade a lot, but now that you made it, I would try to trade loaiza

batista is a good pickup, don't know if he's available in your league but my favorite free agent is ryan franklin right now, I also like kelvim escobar as a starter, Jae seo is pitching great for the mets, jason jennings has turned things around and should pitch great the rest of the way

I would like any of those guys over aaron harang
