This Holiday Weekend, I had the "great" opportunity of baby-sitting my little nieces, which always means a lot of rented movies!
Maybe I can give you guys some insight on some of the flicks now available..
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
Although it sways a little from the traditional story (a bit), the movie was surprisingly funny. In fact, I'm sure the majority of the humor passed far over the heads of most of the youngins' who dragged their parents to the theater to see it.
Swordfish
They aimed a tad too high here, leaving themselves with a 3-hour movie crammed into about an hour and a half. It definitely had the potential to be a must-see, however, the only highlight for me was seeing Halle Berry's um, kind features.
Driven
I was told the movie was a disappointment, but I liked it a lot. It has a lot of action and intertwining sub-plots. Hmm, maybe just Rocky, um, I mean.. Mr. Stallone does it for me.
Hoodlum
Typical mafia flick.
I've seem much better..
A Knight's Tale
Wow, for a chick-flick, I really liked this movie! All you ladies would love the movie! Great date movie.. great story about love, rags-to-riches, and will-power.
The Family Man
Good movie.. the story-line's been done before.. but this one's got an interesting ending. Once again, great date movie showcasing the power and importance of love, in comparison to commercial success.
