And righted himself.

So, who else temporarily turned off the game last night after the 4 back-to-back doubles?

Not I! I was out biking, turned the game in the 2nd when it was 3-2 Chisox. I saw Manny hit the three run bomb, then I fell asleep. Perfect timing for me all around!!! :D

Anyhoo, Burkett was *gasp* outstanding, retiring 18 in a row!

Did you know? Our starters haven't lost in 3 weeks?

They are 6-0 with a 3.22 ERA since May 21st!

You know I did...hehe I was half watching and half doing other things. And I just didnt pay anymore attention to it. Then I started cooking, and the next thing you know, its 3-2. I totally missed Millard's and Nixon's back to back jacks. And then Manny with a 3 run homer. I love it. All I wanted from that at bat from him was a sacrifice hit to the out field to bring in Johnny, to tie the game, we got a bonus. Great at bat. :clap2: Great game.

HAHAHA....:clap2:
He might have gained a few pounds. Man, when they were talking about his stats last nite, I was like, this has to be one of the strongest pitchers in the league. He has 5 complete games already. Thats insane. If Pedro had that, he would be on the 15 day DL after every start. :D

Nope.

Of course the flipside is, our pen is 2-6 in that same time frame.

Btw, Shea is on the DL.

Its not all that great news, cuz it just means our pen is really that bad. Tho not as of late, I think its cuz Mendoza's gone....hehe Sooo funny, last year, all I picked on was Castillo, and now this year its MenBLOWza. hehe :clap2:

I'd take Castillo 20 times over Secret Yankee Man Menblowzah.

Last year it was Castillo and Arrojo. CURSE ME for saying ARROJO!!!

You're right, unfortunately, about Manblower. If he was not on the DL, there is no doubt our bullpen would have taken more of a pounding.

You're right, cuz when Frank started, it wasnt too bad, its just when he comes out of the bench....or was that the other way around??? I forgot...it seems sooo long ago...hehe :umm

Castillo's ERA as a reliever was 2.44. Or, about a THIRD of YANKEE BOY'S!

I am extremely happy wit the progress of our pen lately. I actually have some confidence in them, well some of them, like Timlin and Lyon.
That reminds me, you guys remember Steve Lyons?? "Physco"!!! He was awesome. I think he was the ultimate utility player. I still remember one time we ran out of relievers and he stepped in and got 2 K's, and it was the only K's for the Red Sox that day. I think he was the only player that ever played every position in a regular season.

I remember when he was on first base, and he pulled down his pants to adjust himself.

He said he forgot where he was.:D

They have ZERO case. I'm the FIRST to bash Burkett, but those pitches were DEAD strikes. Even Manuel admitted that they looked like balls coming towards you, but they all ended up over the plate.
