Complete game shutout, only 2 hits, no walks, no runs, and 3 strikeouts. Pitch count was only 89 ... which is phenomenal. Lowered his ERA to 2.08 or some number like that, which is first among active EL players. Second is our very own John VanBenschoten.

And neither one got a nod on the mid-season EL all star team. Both Akron pitchers were named.

3-2, could you post the midseason All Star team? I can't find it.
Burnett not being named is just absolutely absurd. He's the best pitcher in the EL.

I saw it in the Hartford Courant. If it's not on their web site I'll retrieve the paper and key it in.

I did a quick check and besides the fact it seems you need to be a subscriber, the only thing I was able to find was news.

Another outstanding start last night ... 8 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 2 strikeouts, and just one walk ... lowered his ERA to 1.97. I'm betting he starts the AA All-Star Game.
