Simon tore some ligaments in his right hand, and still hit a walkoff HR ... can't quite recall how Simon hurt his hand.

Not sure why Rivera was brought up ... no way he plays over KY, Wilson, and even Stairs.

I'd sure like to see Rivera play instead of KY and his .217 BA. The one good thing about the end of this season will be to say adios to KY, his crummy offense and his $6M contract.

how did you like the game last night i think the indians should have one. but they are both close teams in talent. and how long is simon out for.

Agree completely, Chris. Why Mac didn't put Rivera in the game after he lined that RBI double in KY's spot is, as he might say, flummoxing. KY was 0-3 with two strikeouts, and he's been putrid offensively for two or three seasons ... for goodness sakes, it's time to bench him and let younger guys like Wilson and Rivera play first ... hell, even Stairs has been hitting the ball, so I wouldn't mind it if he played over KY. ANYONE but KY. Shoot, Hyzdu even had three hits and was on base four times today ... KY hasn't had three hits all month. Of the options who can play first, KY is clearly the worst of them all.

Don't know how long Simon is out ... wish I knew.

They could but he'll be getting some action behind the plate once Kendall starts serving his suspension. I'd really like to see KY be released but they won't do it. Pitchers doing just as poorly will be demoted or released, but not Mac Daddy's ol' homie KY.

He started tonight and I think you will see him get a fair share of starts out there. Craig Wilson is fflat out terrible at first. Stairs is ok. I would rather see Craig in the OF or behind the plate. Once again, his time will be limited due to being the back up catcher though.

Rivera made some solid contact last night ... about everyone but him played poorly, but although he went hitless, he hit the ball hard all three times. Played today and went 1-2 with a double to right center. Sure do wish they would continue to play him over the dreaded KY.

You know, I would sure like to see Craig get some consistent starts for about 2 weeks or so, especially since I have been one of his biggest supporters and have constantly talked him up. But Craig likes to strike out a lot. A LOT. And on three pitches too, he doesn't even make it that hard on the pitcher. Maybe if he were to play more often it wouldn't seem like he was striking out as much, but he definitely needs to work on some things. And his defense at first isn't so good. I actually kind of like him however in right field. He doesn't seem to have great range, but his arm is good and he makes some nice diving catches.

Simon injured his hand diving back into first on a pickoff attempt if my memory serves me.

I wouldn't mind seeing him get at bats either, but only in RF or occaisional at bats catching. His defense is worse than not so good at first! I am sorry, but he flat out stinks at first.

I'd like to see the Bucs move Matt Stairs when Simon comes off the DL and get Craig some more consistent ABs in RF. Let's face it, Reggie won't be there next year. Maybe Craig will.
