I'm so sorry about this weekend. I was REALLY pulling for you guys.

I was at a bar on Saturday after the Mets/Skanks game was cancelled. The Mets fans were cheering for the Sox, and the Skank fans were cheering for the Phillies.

Unfortunately, it was my friend Todd who beat the Sox. I feel terrible because I am VERY happy for him, yet so very sad for the Sox. :cry:

Here's the thing about Grady. As much as I dislike him, I blame the ownership. Grady is simply out of his league. He should NOT be managing the Sox. He should be in San Diego, Pitt, Tampa, etc..., or back in the minors.

He simply doesn't have the intelligence, or experience, to handle the pressure at this level.

thats what we had with bruce kimm. he was out of his element with the cubs. (not to mention a jackass manager)

some people just arent capable of leading a big ball club and grady does not appear to be one of those. management should understand before they hire the guy.

Here's the thing Ray. I think they DO get it, they want it this way.

The Sox are acting like Oakland. In Oak, Billy Beane is known as a genius, which is odd considering he's never won a playoff series.

But they hire incompetent managers too, so Beane continues to look like Boy Wonder, and playoff failures can be blamed on the manager.:angry:

Like the Sox, they won't hire a great manager, because then their GM's wouldn't get all the credit.:angry:
