CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cleveland Indians traded outfielder Karim Garcia and pitcher Dan Miceli to the New York Yankees on Wednesday for a player to be named.
Garcia, who was just activated from the 15-day disabled list because of a wrist injury, was with the Yankees last season after being released by the Indians before spring training.
The 27-year-old was batting .194 with five homers and 14 RBIs in 24 games. He sprained his wrist early in the season, but continued playing before going on the DL May 8.
Miceli was signed by the Indians on May 15 after being released by the Colorado Rockies. In 13 games with the Indians, the right-hander went 1-1 with a 1.20 ERA.
