Sad, sad news about George Harrison.... passing away at the age of 58.
We all knew he was close to death, and it would be soon, but to finally hear the words.... *sigh*. The Beatles were so much a part of my growing up years. I was a teenager when they first came to the States - and I was a goner the first time I saw them on Ed Sullivan. George was always the mysterious, quiet one.
There's comfort in the fact that his family was at his side when he passed, and Paul and Ringo had said their good-byes to him as well. He was also so spiritual, you know that this was not a fearful thing for him.
I may visit Strawberry Fields today, or tomorrow.
