Well, the Rockies close out the first half of the season in style, by getting swept by the Angels, losing 8 of their last 9, and 16 of 19 overall going into the All Star break.

The final games' 14 runs scored were all by the way of the long ball. Erstad and Spiezio each hit 2 HR, and Anderson hit 1 for the Angels. The Rockies' 3 runs came on a 3 run shot by Todd Walker.

The All Star break couldn't come soon enough for the Rockies. With Larry Walker and Denny Neagle ailing, the bullpen sucking fumes and the starting pitching in a tail spin, along with a no-hit no-field bench, the Rockies will have to make some changes soon if they don't want to suffer their worst season yet.
