I hate 'em:angry: ....... there was a time when I used to love them...... but what happened??? How did everything become so stressful and icky? .....now they just make me feel pressure about stuff (what, I don't know) and most of all, you spend too much money and eat too much junk:bigeyecry

the holiday I dislike the most is New Year's:eviltongu I find it depressing!

ok, enough of my holiday-b*tching...... so does anyone out there actually like the holidays?? and have FUN and feel warm and jolly inside?? if so, give me some! cuz I don't really enjoy being such a holiday-grouch:angry:

My, my, my. Did someone get up on the wrong side of the Christmas tree this morning?

I'm afraid I'm one of those "LA-LA-LA... I just love the holidays!" people..... but you knew I'd say that, didn't you.:hmm:

It starts with Thanksgiving. I just love Thanksgiving. I guess 'coz we had such great Norman Rockwell, big family Thanksgivings when I was growing up.

Then comes Christmas... I love going home to Minnesota... the snow... being with family.... the tree decorated, the decorations around the house.... then there's the Christmas music... the Christmas Eve service at church.

And New Year's has never been a big thing for me, but lately I've gone to a really good party... my friends Kathy and Tom have it every year - and they're like family.

Oh, geez. I'm such a Pollyanna.:hmm:

Don't get me wrong... I hate the shopping and the crowds. But I love the wrapping and unwrapping.

SURE!!!!! I don't know when the date is that we're doing it, but it is a yearly thing, so I'll let you know!!! That'll help get you in the spirit.

I know... things have gotten so commercial over the years. I just try to block all of that out and concentrate on the things about Christmas that make me feel happy.

I got it. PM'd you back!

You know, I think the fact that it's 70 degrees in November is also sort of depressing. I love the crisp November air, knowing that Christmas is coming, snow on the ground. These days, it's just been grey and dreary and humid and warm. Yech.

Geez, you think 70 degrees is depressing try living down here in 80 degree weather as it is now...It is hard to get into anything...
I personally love Christmas.....I don't care too much about what I get but I love giving presents especially to my son...I LOVE buying things for him....And watching him open them is PURE joy:biggrin:
I agree with you guys, New Years really isn't too big of a deal to me either....

I hate the "Christmas season". I'm an non-religious, so I don't celebrate these holidays. All I know is that there are all these stupid Christmas songs on the radio, stupid Christmas trees everywhere, it's cold and gloomy and getting cold and gloomier. I spend two months not buying anything 'cause all the stores are too crowded.

And yes... bah, humbug.

i would love shopping more if i had enough money! but it never ever feels like enough:hmm: my dad's a big fat christmas baby.... it's a freakin project trying to figure out what to get him! he loves expensive electronic toys, like fancy stereo system stuff and dvd/computer/gadgety thing-a-ma-bob's:hmm: .....and then my mom's all "oh, just get me anything..... but not..." and she has EVERYTHING!:pout: so *sigh* another major production........

i can't possibly be related to these people cuz i'm so easy!!:) (well, you know what i mean)

i think i need to go christmas shopping with moe & nanner:) :) (you two probably have enough christmas spirit for all of nyc!!)

I used to LOVE the holiday season. It used to be so "tis the season to be merry" now it's just BUY BUY BUY!!!!!

Now I know how my Mom felt. When we were little she used to go out and bake like a gazillion cookies and love to decorate the whole house. In the years as we grew up she started to hate this season. " Too commercial" She would say.

Now I have to agree with her. It's all like " what am I buying? How am I paying for it?" UHGGGG!!!

The worst Holiday is New Years!!! Sooo Stupid!!! UHG!!!

Usually I get in the swing of things when it gets colder out. I'm hoping that happens, but I am dreading this holiday{{{ For obvious reasons}}}Season.

Maybe I'll go bake some cookies and that will help!!!!!

:uhoh:

I was planning on doing this tomorrow!!! Putting on the Christmas music, decorating the apartment, baking cookies, doing my Christmas cards later while I have a couple of glasses of wine.

Oh, my. I sound like a Stepford Wife.
