We can start with Mac illogically removing Torres from the game when he cruised through the four hitters he faced ... he brought Beimel in, Beimel sucked tonight ... which led to Mac bringing in Lincoln, point in case number two.

The one hitter Lincoln faced, he also cruised through ... the guy hit a squibbler back to the mound to end the inning after fouling off an 0-2 pitch ... then Mac brings in Tavarez, who gave up a HUGE two-run homer to Guillen.

Just no reason whatsoever to first remove Torres, and then take Lincoln out of the game. Sure, a new manager won't be able to get Kendall to take a pitch or two instead of popping up to end the game on the very first pitch, and sure, a new manager won't be able to solve Lofton's typical June swoon ... but a new manager SHOULD be able to do the best he can with what he has, and I don't think Mac does that.

Positive news is Stairs continued his torrid hitting.

I'm still Lincoln's biggest fan. Maybe the Mac Daddy wanted to build his confidence? Who knows what goes on in that big melon head of his. I predict that once Lincoln shows he is back to form that Boehringer gets moved and Lincoln assumes the RH setup position.

I watched the first few innings then I had to go. It looked like D'Amico was cruising and we would put them away. Mac and the pen failed again I guess.
