Anyone see any coming up or that may still be available in leagues??

I could use a SP in a deep 16 team league....

Tommy Phelps I had but he keeps getting shifted back and forth to the pen where it looks like he may stay if everyone stays healthy....

Anyone got anything good;)

Seo maybe a SP to keep an eye on. As well as Brandon Webb. Good should also be ok but I don't see sleepers out there as of yet.

Got him also:D

I have no idea how I did so bad with my pitching:hmm:

I really liked Rosario but he went on the DL:banghead

I picked up Hurang as he has pitched better as of late...

With 16 teams there just really is not much to choose from...

Here are my picks (Ones that aren't already mentioned, and possibly not owned in leagues):

1. Claudio Vargas - Mon (June 3-1, 1.43 ERA)
2. Jake Peavey - SD
3. Horacio Ramirez - Atl
4. Jason Davis - Cle (June 3-2, 3.02 ERA)
5. Victor Zambrano (June 4-1, 2.36 ERA)
6. John Lackey (June 2-2, 3.94 ERA)

I'm not sold on Villone and Lima because of their pasts, but then again, Loaiza would have fit the same mold earlier this year

other than those already mentioned, these are some I like:

my guess is that Jesse Foppert and Jerome Williams are not available, if they were, I would snatch them up immediately

Jason Jennings has been very good the past month, Tomo Ohka and Oliver Perez have looked as good as, if not better than, they did last year

Rafael Soriano pitched very well for seattle while he was in AAA, he's back with the M's, but is in relief for now, if he gets a start I would snatch him up

Dan Haren, St. Louis's top prospect, dominated AA, pitched well at AAA, and now is up, got a start against SF, pitched well, 6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, keep an eye on him, if he pitches well in his next start, I would pick him up

Aaron Cook, power pitcher with a hard sinker who could eventually excel in Colorado, is getting time in the rotation with Chacon on the DL, but if he pitches well, I think he should stay in the rotation when Chacon gets back

Texas pitchers are dangerous, but Tony Mounce has looked good so far and he was dominating in AA

Matt Roney was one of Detroit's only effective pitchers out of the pen and he's been moved slowly into the rotation, just 2.2 innings in his first start, but he shut down the Blue Jays through 7 in his last start

Cliff Lee looked very good for Cleveland in his debut

Brandon Claussen, even though I hate the Yanks, looked very good

Heilman looks like the real deal, the only one on this list that I've actually seen pitch more than once

Zach Day should be back for Montreal after the All-Star break

I don't know if Jim Brower will be making any more starts for SF, but he was very good in his start, I'd keep an eye on him

hope that helps a bit

Chris Carpenter is rehabbing for St. Louis. The new plan is for to join the rotation. He should get the call soon.

The A's plan to call up either Rich Harden or Justin Duscherer after the All-Star break. Harden is well known but Justin will fly under the radar. He has pinpoint control which should help him adjust to the majors.

Thanks Fulla....

SacTown, I dont think Willis is available in any league now:D
Certainly none of mine...He is beyond the role of sleeper....I was fortunate enough to snag him in one of my leagues a month and a half ago.....

I agree , I missed getting him by 20 minutes. But dork of a brother got to him first :) Ah well , I've been pretty fortunate with my pitching staff anyway .

I just added Justin Duchsherer today. His bb/K ratio is 8-72 in 91 innings

wow that k/bb ratio is sick, I was unaware of how well he was pitching at Sacramento, but being 25, he's not exactly a prospect and I'd give Harden the advantage over Duchscherer, Duchscherer didn't have any success in his only previous ML experience with Texas, and there has to be a reason Oakland didn't bring him up instead of Harang, they knew what they had in Harang and that wasn't much, I don't see Duchscherer doing anything this year

Athletics might recall Duchscherer Updated 7/8/03

Duchscherer, Justin RP OAK
News: The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Athletics will decide during the All-Star break whether to recall Rich Harden or Justin Duchscherer from Triple-A Sacramento to assume the No. 5 spot in the rotation. "When we bring up a pitcher, we like to think it will be our last move with him," A's general manager Billy Beane said. "When we brought up Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder and Barry Zito, they didn't go back."

Analysis: Duchscherer might get the nod if the Athletics believe Harden's recent struggles in Sacramento are enough of a concern to give him more development time. If either pitcher is recalled, he'll be worth adding to an AL-only roster.
