Why is the Nightmare boy pitching tomorrow???????? It was gonna be such a nice game because Bernie is more than likely rejoining the team tomorrow and now Nightmare boy can just ruin his return.
Anybody know a hitman cuz I get the feeling that's the only way I'm gonna get rid of this loser!!!!:2guns:

i could help in anyway possible.
i am hoping that when a batter hits the ball, it goes down the center and hit him real hard.

I like the way you think Jenny....
2-0 Indians already and he's looking all kinds of piissed off...he'll blame the loss on the fact that Jeter and Sori didn't play.

Jeff has had trouble with the first inning in his last two starts. Otherwise, he's pitching well, which will be HUGE boost to the team.
Torre left him in an inning too long :(
Can you believe our offense amassed one hit. ONE MEASILY HIT.
Way to screw up momentum Yanks

Sorry Milky but when those runs score in the first inning and that's what makes you lose the game, in my opinion that'a not pitching good. I'm sorry but I can not see it being a boost to the team when they know that now they have to go out and get runs just to pull him out of trouble again!! But then again, I'm sure he's blaming this lose on everybody else as usual...I'm sure this week it'll be "The guys didn't get any hits" or "well, Jeter and Sori didn't play in the game" or some other excuse cuz he never puts it on himself!

how many runs did he give up? if you only give up one or two first inning runs, you have no excuse not to be able to come back.

Yeah you do Ray. Burkett does the same crap. I read a stat somewhere about how putting your team in a hole off the bat really affects the outcome.

I read the same thing Jac....
let's face it..the guy plain out SUCKS. I personally think that no one on the team likes him and they figure that why the hell should they play too hard when all the guy does is blame them for his loses??? Maybe they want to get rid of him as much as most of us fans do.

so if you give up only one run in the first inning, jacqui, yet shut out the opponents for 8 more innings you suck? if you lose 1-0 on that, i have problems with the offense, not the pitching.
that being said, weaver still sucks.

I just can't see how Jeff Weaver can be blamed for yesterday's loss.
He gave up 2 runs through 7 IP, and the last run really wasn't his fault (thanks a lot Chris Hammond), so 3 ER through 7 IP is NOT a bad start. You should be able to win when you pitch a game like that.
While putting your team in a hole early is never good, there is NO excuse for the offense to amass a total of ONE HIT the entire game.
That's not Jeff Weaver's fault. He pitched well yesterday, and did so with a AAA team behind him. Its encouraging at least to see that he's settled down to pitch two decent games after giving up runs early on. In that situation two months ago, Weaver would probably not be able to control himself mentally and break down, resulting in giving up 8 or so runs and being pulled in the fourth.
He's shown some improvements in that area at least.
I'm satisfied with him at the moment. But it'll take one or two more good starts to prove to me that he's actually gotten better.
The true goat of yesterday's game: THE OFFENSE. I don't care how much pressure they felt from being in an early hole or whether Sori and Jetes were out, there's no excuse for being one-hit. Thank god for Flaherty's single; without that we'd have been no-hit yet again.

I still stick to my belief that the Yankee players don't even like him therefore maybe they don't try as hard when he pitches.
BTW..just for the record...I did read that he was whinning that Sori and Jeter didn't play...and of course blamed Almonte for one run. That's the thing with this guy....He blames everything on everybody else. Sorry but did one of the other Players give up the Home run????
And he doesn't go all postal anymore when he's getting beat cuz either Mel of Joe is holdinh his hand when he's on the bench. Do you think that when Rocket, Boomer, Andy or moose give up a couple of runs Joe or Mel have to sit there and try to keep them from falling apart??? NO! He's a liability to this team..he has the worst record for our pitchers, the worst ERA and he obviously can't handle pitching in the big leagues because a major league pitcher shouldn't have to be babysat inbetween innings. Even the announcers think it's pathetic! Like they were saying, when Rocket was getting his ass handed to him on Saturday..he didn't need to be babysat in between innings.
That being said...Boomer's pitching great and I'm finished with this conversation...I've listen to everybodies comment, given my own and now i'm gonna go watch the game:D

If its true that the Yankees don't like Jeff and don't play hard when he pitches, then they all should be whacked on the head and fined their day's paycheck. They're professionals; they make millions of dollars, they better bust thier asses and they better want to win no matter who's pitching. If it is the case that they don't play hard for Weaver, then it looks like we have twenty-five headcases, not just one.
I'm sorry, I don't want to question what you're saying, but I've only read two or three comments from Weaver that bashed his teammates, and that was all following the same game. Maybe we get our news from different sites or its being reported on YES, i don't know, but I'd like to know what he's saying because all of his quotes that I've read, exluding one or two after a loss a while ago, were positive. From what I've read, especially from yesterday's game since i've read articles from about 8 different sites on that "almost-perfect game" by Traber, the only person he bashed WAS himself. I'm just a little confused because I'm hearing polar opposite things elsewhere on the web and here at Addicts.
Rocket, Boomer, Moose, Andy...they're all veterans. Especially Rocket and Boomer. Moose and Andy don't have the same explosive personality as Weaver, which explains why they're so calm and can keep thier emotions in check. Weaver, IMO, is a lot like Boomer. I've read that Boomer's been working with Weaver in controlling his emotions on the mound. Weaver's still young and lacks maturity, given time he should learn.
And I don't think that a pitcher showing emotion is necessarily a bad thing, only they need to be able to control them. At least you know Weaver wants to win and wants to contribute, he wouldn't be so frustrated or angry if he didn't give a damn.
All i'm trying to say is that i don't think Weaver is as bad a kid as he's made out to be. He's been in a major slump but has shown signs of breaking out of it. If he can continue to pitch good games then it will be a boost to the team. With Contreras out for God knows how long, Weaver settling down would do wonders for the rotation.

well, i have seen him complainin more than a few times. but they do try to keep it under close wraps.
but i also agree that you need to play hard for whomever is on the mound. its their job. but then again, they are human and sometimes you try even harder for the guys who have your back and dont complain in public about poor defense.
idk.

I'm not saying that the Yankees aren't playing for him...it's just my gut feeling.
Milky, I will go look for the articles that I've read that after almost every game he;s put the blame on someone else. Their usually in the NY Papers, NY News on tv or my local news or Sportcenter. I'll try to hunt some down but I have a really busy day making bandanas and cleaning the house so it might have to wait until I get the chance but I will try to find them for you, OK?
I really wixh you could see the games....I know you don't get YES..christ..I'm tempted to tape his next game for you so you can see how he is. When Almonte missed the one play...he turned around and gave him a look that if looks could kill, the kid would have dropped dead right there...then they showed Giambi watching him give Almonte the dirty look and it seriously looked like Giambi wanted to go rip his head off. it's stuff like that, that he does that pisses his teammates off. Remember last year in Toronto when He yelled at Sori for missing a play and inbetween innings Giambi, Bernie and Jeter surrounded him on the bench and yelled at him...remeber I had to tell you about that? Stuff like that goes beyond immaturity...the announcers have talked about it in length and even they have said that the team isn't going to put up with much more of his "it's not my fault it's sombodies elses" attitude. There is a time to grow up and take responsibility and stop blamimng things on somebody else, even if they screwed up. You never hear Clemens or Andy or Moose ever put the blame on anybody. Hell when Andy was pitching so shitty a couple of weeks ago..he never said anything about somebody else being at fault.
I'll try to find the articles for you.
