Untouchables

As the trade deadline nears, I wonder if any of you feel that there are any players on the roster Dombrowski should not trade? For that matter, feel free to include farmhands that you view as untouchable, as well.

My list, so far, looks like this: Bonderman. Scott Moore. Kyle Sleeth (who I still don't think is signed). That's it.

A few other prospects would be close to that list: Curtis Granderson, Kody Kirkland, Joel Zuyama, Jon Connolly. There are probably a couple of other prospects I would add, but their names escape me at the moment.

Good point, pp. Maybe Ledezma, too. Right now, both would still be on a "B" list, though. I've got to see some more success on the road before bumping them up to untouchable status.

I completely agree. That's why we love Pedro, isn't it? Somebody has to be willing to throw inside once in a while.

Exactly! I was pleasantly surprised that during the All-Star game they pointed out how Soriano hangs out over the plate so much, they didn't blame Pedro for hitting him.

If you can't pitch inside, you are giving the hitter far too much advantage.

I like Ledezma too... and I think Maroth is going to be one hell of a pitcher one day. I also think Young should stay put.

Yes, Young should stay. At least he can hit. I'd much rather ad some bats to help him out.

Of course, if you made the Tigers the right offer...........
