Being from Michigan I'll always be a Tiger fan no matter how bad they are. But I must admit their starter aren't too bad. Maroth, Cornejo and Bonderman just need a little offense in their corner to be more successful. Loux and Roney have had sparks of success this season too. But I'm sure we'll trade good people for prospects. Typical Detroit.

I'm really praying that they don't trade any of thier starters. They all have potential to be great pitchers. Bonderman and Maroth really don't deserve thier terrible records. If the powers that be over in Detroit will just have a little patients and a little faith, I'm sure they will see some major changes in the numbers.

I couldn't agree more. I mean come on Tramm! The only decent offensive players we have that I see are Dmitri Young and Kevin Witt. Well, we'll see...

Higgy isn't doing too bad either and Torres bat has really heated up the last couple of games

I certainly appreciate your support Dave :) Not too many agree with me on who should be traded and who shouldn't. I honestly think that the team is great as it is. They have a lot of potential there. The defense is already pretty damn good for a bunch of young players who haven't been together for a whole season yet. I say we give these boys 2 more years and we'll see what they really are made of. This season is a write off anyway, lets use the rest of it for learning and you will defenately see a better team by next season

I've got to rain a bit on this parade. Sorry. We can keep all of these guys, but just get used to more 100 loss seasons waiting and hoping the kids on the farm develop. Without some hitters soon, which won't arrive without a trade, this team will continue to get pounded.

Remember we waited for the Clark, Higgy, Thompson and Easley core to develop and look where we are now. I hope you are right and I am wrong on this, but it looks really bad for the next several seasons. Minor miracles, aside.

Oh, btw, I do like our starters. Bonderman, Ledezma and Maroth, in particular. I'm just not sure about their long-term potential. I also wonder how many of them will still be here if/when this team ever becomes good again.

Bonderman- Potential ace in acouple seasons, everything you look for in a pitcher. Untouchable

Maroth- Solid number 3 starter on a decent team. Gets the most out of his stuff. Our most tradable commodity, therefor I think for the right young hitter he is expendable

Ledezma- Very good stuff, very bad injury history. Rule 5 pick so we basically got him for free. Could be better than Maroth, but his injury history could wash him out.

Roney- Another Rule 5 guy. Has been very inconsistant, but has potential to a good number 4 or 5 starter.

Cornejo- Potential to be the Tiger's number 2. Underrated at the moment in my opinion. He just has to put it all together. I doubt we could get anything equal in value for him.

I agree~you guy's have some good pitchers, but need hitters badly.

On your team I see:

Petrick
Young

Next year I see:

C-A MUCH MUCH improved Brandon Inge
1B-Witt
2B-??Bocachica??
SS-Omar Infante
3B-Munson
LF-Dmitri Young
CF-Ben Petrick
RF-Cody Ross??

Rot.

Bonderman
Cornejo
Maroth
Roney
Ledezma

Maybe Rob Henkel in their as a LR or Spot Strater

RP

German
Mears
Anderson
etc.

R&A, no way Bocachica returns to a starters role here. Warren Morris has the job unless a new 2B is acquired.

Petrick can't catch a cold, so he will only see CF if he gets lost chasing down a fly ball from LF. That said, Sanchez is frightening in the OF, so a new CF is still on the Christmas list in Detroit.

Witt does have a shot at 1b, but so do Pena, Young and Munson. Some combo of these guys will be sent packing, one will get the job.

Cody Ross may indeed get a chance in the OF, but Higginson will be here. He has a no-trade clause and no one will take him unless he eats some salary or the Tigers find a team willing to eat about 8 million next season. Higgy is a corner OF and that only leaves Ross the CF job.

Inge might get another chance, too, but I doubt it. He will never, ever be much improved. Unless, you count .250 as much improved. (Which it literally would be, but it still is awful.)

Infante is so far in the doghouse right now you could find him with a flashlight. He is more likely trade bait.

Your guess at the rotation is accurate, unless one of them gets traded.

Sad to think of the Tigers with an "overload" of good players, but I mean you have like 4 good OFers, 2 good catchers, and a lot of good 1B

Minus off-season deals, that's probably about right, R&A. However, there almost has to be some type of lineup changes this winter. You just can't bring back the worst team in history (those '62 Mets were an expansion team) for a second season without changes.
