And they're sending Ventura to LA?

So I guess Zeile will play 3B while Boone learns how to be a set-up man?
Unless Boone can pitch, I don't understand this deal. Gabe White has been on the DL for over a month, and there's no guarantee he'll be back before September.
This makes Steinbrenner look like the Rotisserie King he was in the late 80s/early 90s. And look where it got him. The team didn't make it back into the playoffs until after he came back from his suspension -- Steiny couldn't force them to trade off their farmhands.

hahahahahah
boone is o.k but stinky, hasn't done nothing. too bad he's being outsmarted by a 28 year old. ha
I'm not happy with this trade. Boone has been putting up reasonable numbers this year in Great American Ballpark, where the home runs have just been flying out. Age factor aside, he's no major improvement over Ventura. Especially disappointing that we had to give up Claussen who had shown so much promise earlier in the season. And surely this spells the end of not only Drew Henson's Yankee career, but possibly his baseball career.
Thanks Robin, and all the best in LA.

Does Drew Henson really matter? He's been at Columbus for how long now? His defense is suspect and his hitting stinks. They're just trying to save face (and several million bucks) by not releasing him.

Well he hasn't been scorching hot with the bat or anything, but he's been alright. I'm guessing its just nerves plus the fact he's switched leagues.
He had a clutch hit in Oakland a few days ago and would have ended up scoring the winning run if Mo had saved it.
His defense looks solid. He made a sweet sliding play in foul territory to catch a pop up in the same game.
IMO he looks fine :)
