Expansion is ok with me but not until a new deal is made between the owners and players Union.
ReAlignment sucks.
Interleague play is a lot better than I though it would be, I like it. I like the Braves playing the Yankees and Red Sox.
DH, use it ONLY in the All Star game.
Extra inning games: I don't understand why you used 12, but i don't care how long a game goes, there has to be a winner.
Moving of teams; Up to the Owners and Major League Baseball. I have no opinion on that one.
New teams: tough call!! I'll think about that one.

What are your feelings about Baseball Issues such as --

Expansion (or Contraction) - It will have to happen...
Re-Alignment - Will come with contraction...
Interleague Play - Is nothing to write home about, unless you live in a region with natural rivals...
The Designated Hitter (DH) Rule - Is the worst thing to happen to baseball...
Extra Inning Games that go beyond a full 12! - You must determine a winner...
Moving of Teams - Business is business...
New Teams - Baseball has already expanded beyond their talent pool...

Expansion (or Contraction)---Contraction
Re-Alignment---Keep things the way they are
Interleague Play---Doesn't bother me too much..Good for cities like NY and Chicago..
The Designated Hitter (DH) Rule---Horrible Rule!! Lets do away from it!!!
Extra Inning Games that go beyond a full 12!---Hey, how bad can free baseball be???
Moving of Teams---After deleting a few teams, those that still are not doing well let them try and move..
New Teams -- which Market would/should get them?---[b]No new teams.....I wouildn't mind seeing Miami and St.Pete merge into Central Florida (Orlando Area)

Contraction
Realignment- Keep things the same way they are
Inter-league play- Pretty cool
DH- Get rid of it-Make Clemens hit damn it!
Extra innings past 12- Play as long as you need to, to have a winner
Moving teams-whatever
New Teams- there are enough teams already and not enough talent to have more teams. Can you say Devil Rays?

Kellye, quit picking on my D-Rays, they had a great comeback thanks to your boy Stanton on Sunday http://forum.addictsports.com/baseball/ubb/wink.gif

Expansion (or Contraction) - Unfortunately, there are teams that are just not getting the butts in the seats. I'll address moving of teams here, as I think baseball should consider moving a couple of teams before they resort to contraction. Either way, one or both will happen.

Re-Alignment - This also is inevitable.

Interleague Play - I can see both arguements on this one. Personally, I like it, as I'm over ten hours away from an AL stadium, and would rarely travel to see the other players play (although I have).

The Designated Hitter (DH) Rule - The DH has greatly outlived any real or perceived usefullness. I have to agree with Kellye, lol.

Extra Inning Games that go beyond a full 12! - 10, 12, 20, I don't care. That's why I'm at the ballpark. If I can spend 4+ hours, so much the better.

Moving of Teams - see Expansion

New Teams -- which Market would/should get them? - D.C. should probably get the first shot at a relocating team. Until the present teams can get fans in the stands, new teams are out of the question.

I guess interleague play is pretty cool...Mets get to play the Yanks during the season, but I don't know it seems stupid to me. I don't like it too much. It kind of makes it pointless to have the two leagues since you play teams from the other league anyways. I hate the DH...that is stupid also.

'86 was a great year.
Mets won the 'series...

What more could ya ask for?

The interleague thing I for 1 was not too receptive to as I am a big traditionalist when it comes to baseball and hate to see change but I think for the most part it has generated interest and cities have got to see teams they never would have in the past...Like down here, the D-Rays play the Mets every other year...I love that...I also like the fact they play the Yanks and Boston...I look forward to those series...And it is only a few weeks out of the year.....
The different league issue shouldn't make a difference as every sport has 2 leagues and those teams play each other all the time..In fact every team plays each other in hockey and basketball....
And again, I agree totally with to heck with the DH!!

Expansion/Contraction. I say contraction. Return to 26 or even 24 teams. I'm up in the air about the wildcard, but there should only be 24-26 teams total. There's no reason a .260 hitting .275 OBP shortstop should make $3.2 million. Deivi Cruz wouldn't even be in the majors with only 24 teams.

Re-Alignment. Didn't MLB just do that a couple years ago? Ever since they took the Tigers from the Yankees, Orioles, and Blue Jays, I have no valuable opinion on this matter.

Interleague play. Keep it how it is, but rotate it better. I would love to see the Dodgers in Comerica Park, and if I see the St. Louis Cardinals only once more it'll be too often.

the DH. Get rid of it. Kick it to the curb. Baseball already has it's equivalent of an NFL kicker: the closer. The DH is the laziest "position" in all of pro sports. Make the pitchers hit, but more importantly, make american league managers MANAGE.

Extra inning games that go beyond 12. No problem with that. Again, make managers MANAGE.

Moving of teams. The Expos in Fenway is a bad and unfair idea. The Expos are in a situation where moving them would probably be good for the franchise. Any other reason is unacceptable to me.

New teams/markets. Washington DC, New Orleans, Detroit.
