Ex-Cardinal Craig Paquette has come to terms on a two-year agreement with the Tigers. Again, the Tigers add a 1B/3B/OF type of player. Eventually, some of the others at those positions (Munson, Fick, Meluskey, Palmer, Simon, Young and probably some others I've forgotten) have to be moved, demoted or released.
I am still naive enough to hope that a big trade might be coming. Many faces in Detroit need to be playing elsewhere next year, so perhaps a substantial deal could still be made.
