My dog, Charky, age 14 which is old for a dog his size, was put to sleep yesterday. He had a kidney problem, causing him to not be able to stand up, and making him breath HARD. He also had a fatty tumor and severe arthritis. He was forced to eat and drink in one place, and since he couldn't stand up, he was badly dehydrated.

Sorry for your loss, Steffo. Lost a near 18-yr-old cat earlier this summer and it really hurts. Maybe they can chase each other now up in Pet Heaven.
Chin up, kid. :)

awww Steffo i'm sorry for your loss  i know how you feel..... my Polly passed away this year on february 15 (the day before The Big Blizzard) and it has been exactly 6 months and 1 day and not a day goes by that i don't think about her or miss her TERRIBLY  i still burst out crying when i see a spunky little white dog wobbling down the street, i think of polly and i miss her and i wish she were here with me again..... she was almost 15 years old and i had her for 9 years.... we were the BEST of friends, i took her everywhere, and she was the greatest companion and friend and listener and welcome-home-cheerleader i've ever had...... it still hurts tremendously to be without her and sometimes i feel like the pain will never really go away..... she was my longest relationship  and my Soul Mate   and i will love her forever.... and i know she sometimes visits me cuz the *signs* are everywhere and i feel her and i know she still protects me and looks out for me from the Other Side.......
btw, check out this website.... it is a virtual interactive memorial home for departed pets..... it's very comforting, you will feel that you are not alone when you read what others have written.....

Speaking of hearing, Charky had become deaf.

around 2 and 1/2 years old in human years and he is a black labrador. Very good shae active dog. We take him on a wazlk everyday or if not every day as much as possible, my dad totally loves him and when he has days offs he might take him 2 times a day. We dont take him on ordinary walks. Near our neighborhood their is a bayou and near it there is a lake a big lake, not that many ppl know about it since its not public and is hiddin in the forests we usually take him for a walk there. and when u swaid 14 do u mean in dog years?

I'm sorry to heard that Steffo :(
I had to put my cat down almost two years ago. She had a tumor on her jaw (cancer) and couldn't eat. But she was loved and treated like a princess for 9 years and she wasn't in pain anymore.
Then I went to the pound and got the cutest most loving cat in the world. I miss her but Romeo is a little funny loverboy covered in fur. Not that he can replace her but it made all the more easier.
