I watch "The Restaurant" too, it's like an accident. You can't take your eyes off it. :D And I hate "reality TV" shows in general. (well except "Queer eye" but who doesn't love that show :rotf: )

The only thing I can think is the worst thing a chef could do is spit in the food ;) But...
You did hear that Rocco got nailed with some Health Code violations :eek: Nothing serious that would shut the place down but enough for him to have to appear and pay some hefty fines.

Jaq I can't believe that next week is the Finale!!!!! such a short season!!!

anyway umm lets see what happened.....

Rocco decides that his Captain idea with the waitstaff is a good idea and he wants to continue doing it. What the Captain idea is that there will be 4 captain's on the floor. They will take the drink orders and greet the customers first. Then there are Asst. Captains they will get the drinks and punch in orders. Then you have your runners...they bring the food up..the Asst. bring the food out. Kinda complicated, but it could work! Guess what??? it's chaos!!! the computers aren't working right, Captains aren't ordering the right things, so the Waitstaff{who are the Asst.'s} are going crazy!!...anyway Rocco thinks that it could work so he wants to try it longer. He decides that he will follow one ofthe better servers around so he can see what the waitstaff actually goes through!

Mama has a cold!!! this apparently is of huge concern so it must be mentioned a MILLION times through out the show.

ok there are these 3 cooks. I guess there suppossed to be really good. well they go out drinking and one of them gets into a barfight and winds up in the hospital. the other 2 do not show up for work because they are so distraught over there friend getting beaten up. It was a horrible fight I guess and the guy who got hurt must have got hurt badly. Everyone,,,Rocco, Mama the managers are all concerned about these cooks. { Mama cried }

because the cooks didn't come to work this other cook..Perry gets a shot at being a the HEAD cook. At first it looks like he's doing well, but he can't keep up with the orders..so has the saying goes...If you can't take the heat...get out of the kitchen...Tony the Kitchen manager tells him too get off the line.

There is love in the air.. one of the waitresses has a crush on Perry. She writes him a corney poem. later the hook up and kiss!

Rocco follows a server that he promoted to Captain around the floor...well if you can call it that...what Rocco actually does is schmooz with all the guests, get orders, sit with the customers, and make sure his guests are ok. he actually says to one customer.." do I have to buy your meal yet" he is a piece of work!!!!

ok mama is still sick!

the Cooks that didn't show up: They show them at a bar talking about Rocco's place and how they hate it. Apparently nobody has gotten paid yet!! there is a hold up with the paychecks. Well theses three cooks decide that there not going back. They don't like it. The kick to this story is that There was a barfight, but nobody was admitted to to hospital! they made that part up!!!!!


one of the waiters goes to a club and does a comedy routine. He bombs horribly!!! stinks the whole place up.

Rocco calls the hospital to find out how the cook who had the fight is....this is where he finds out the cook was never admitted. He is pissed!!!

Rocco informs his staff that they will be getting paid soon. he apologizes for the wait, but it's something out of his control, but they will get paid shortly!!!

ok the 3 cooks: I'm not sure if Rocco called them or how they get there, but they come to the restaurant. Rocco sits and talks to each one alone. He listens to what happened and hears why they don't want t work there anymore. He tells them ok and lets them collect the things and get there pay. while the cooks are walking around saying good bye and getting there junk. Rocco is doing a voice over about how annoyed he is that they lied to him. before they leave they are at the bar and Rocco goes over and gives them a lectura about how annoyed he his with them lieing and quitting the way that they did. he tells them" Don't darken my doorway again" and leaves.

That's it I think.....

GREAT UPDAtE KATH! So basically, Rocco is still an ass.

ooh! what about the 2 Big-Cheese-Chef-Hotshots walking into the restaurant!! this was the night after the first chaotic night (i believe) of the new system.... rocco is on the floor trying to learn the ropes and eventually schmoozing as usual ( :hmm: ) ...then the 2 Big Cheese Chefs walk in and he's like "THAT'S so-and-so AND so-and-so!! 2 OF THE BEST CHEFS IN THE CITY!! omg they're here!! make sure THEIR food is PERFECT!!"

so he goes downstairs and is telling everyone their food has to be PERFECT (my b/f who is watching with me is like "why doesn't he just cook it himself????" IT'S ROOKIE-CHEF PERRY WHO IS COOKING! :eek:

somehow, the food comes out great.... and the 2 chefs are like "ooooh, this is great..... ooooh ahhhh this is really good.... mmmm yumm good very good...."

and then "oooh, this is no good right here :eviltongu .....this one, this is NOT good...." (i believe he was pointing to the octopus)

fastforward to a scene with rocco schmoozing a table of women: "You ladies have GOT to try the octopus! it's delicious!"



another scene:
Pete is doing stand up comedy at a comedy club.... his jokes are HORRENDOUS! :eek: :( they boo him off the stage!! a sample of his jokes are "yeah so there was some bombing going on last week.... you know what's cool about getting bombed?" :D that's him smiling, thinking he's funny

the crowd: awkward silence, then BOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Pete's friend, the waitress (i forget her name) attends the show and is trying to comfort him afterwards (she had her head down during the show when they were booing him).... she's all "oh no it wasn't that bad... it was just the wrong crowd....." (it was horrible)

rocco is still really clueless.... stubborn and clueless..... he still would rather schmooze the poop out of everyone and their mother rather than going downstairs to the kitchen and actually cooking or at least stay connected to what's going on downstairs.....

when the 3 best cooks quit, Diana, Tim & Rory, they all mentioned that they were hoping to spend more time with him cooking, or learning more stuff..... rory was like "well you know i like making sauces, i'm all about sauces, but here you just wanna slap the fish on the plate and that's it..... i really wanted to do more...."

after rocco heard everyone out, like kathleen said, he got really pissed and decided to get it off his chest..... he was all "you guys think you're better than this place, that's what you're telling me, well you're not..... you don't deserve to be here..... and how you lied and handled yourself, you're what 27, 28, 29? you should be ashamed of yourselfs.... don't ever step foot here again....."


the previews for next week: looks like someone is gonna get the boot (perry maybe?) i feel bad for him! they were SO hard on him omg!! it looked like he was trying his best but everyone kept screaming at him! well, at least he got the girl :D that cute waitress (heather?) has it BAD for him! i can't believe they just went up to each other and KISSED right then and there!

apparently HE doesn't care if his place survives.... man, did you see how CRAPPY he looked?? right from the beginning! he looks like he secretly HOPES the place would get shut down so he doesn't have to deal with the burden anymore (he definitely treats it like a burden and not a passion) .....i think he's one of those people who are tremendously creative and should only be doing the creative stuff and not trying to be a manager/business person, cuz clearly he SUCKS at it! and everyone around him suffers because of it.....

i can't see how the place will survive..... that financier guy Jeff will have to make an executive decision and yank rocco's ass outta the managerial position and just get him to do what he does best, cook!
